Murray E. Hall
Dear Doris and Family, Our hearts and prayers go out to you. Both Dave and I remember your whole family fondly from the Coral Marine when Dave worked for Vern and Audrey. You guys were always in an "up" mode which made being around you fun. I hope the last 30 years have been good for you. Murray must have been in pretty good health to work for Pelling for so many years. Take Care, Dave and Karen
Doris, John and I were so sorry to hear of your husband's passing. You were always so helpful and thoughtful with our family when we spent time with you in '95 in the SICU at Univ. Hosp. You and your family are in our prayers during this difficult time. Take Care, Jan and John Garms, Elkader
Doris, I'm sorry we couldn't be with you today. We brought clothes to change into and had every intention of getting there, but it just became impossible. We want you to know how deeply sorry we are for your loss. There are a handful of customers that we feel very close to, and you and Murray are certainly among them. We almost crashed your Thanksgiving last year because we thought the holiday would be well spent with you. Our thoughts are with you Doris. Please don't be a stranger. I don't suppose you'll be buying steel posts or 10 foot ladders, but just pop in from time to time. Linda and Donald
Doris: I am sorry to hear about Murray, please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
So very sorry to hear of the loss of your husband and father. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. With Sympathy, Pam
Doris, Ed, and Carol: I read with sadness Murray's obituary, which I received from my mother in the mail today. You have my sincerest sympathy and condolences in your time of loss. As I am certain is the case with many, I have very fond memories of Murray. My memories are both those of a young boy when growing up as a friend of Ed and, later, when he was my boss at L.L. Pelling. He was a fair and decent person whose sometimes seemingly gruff exterior belied a caring and thoughtful soul. Those that knew him were well aware of this, though I doubt Murray would have admitted such! That was, indeed, a large part of his charm. :-) I remember when he bought my Browning rifle when he didnt really want or need it, but he knew that I needed the money. I remember him pulling my car out with his winch after I got it stuck in the mud the night before in Williamsburg Cemetery. No questions asked, no request of payment, just being helpful. I remember him offering me a job when others were likely more qualified. He meant a good deal to me at a point in my life when I needed the support. I remain grateful but, at the same time, I am ashamed that I failed in not taking the opportunity to express this to him personally. I am certain that he will be greatly missed and by you all. Please know that he is in my thoughts and prayers today. David Finnegan
