Murray E. Hall Jr., 75, of Williamsburg, Iowa died Tuesday July 22, 2003, at The University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics following a brief illness. A Memorial Services will be held at 3 pm Thursday July 24 with a visiting time starting at 2 pm at St. Mary’s Community Hall in Williamsburg, Iowa. Murray is survived by his wife Doris, one son, Edward, of North English and a daughter, Carol and Husband Tim Tietz of Hiawatha. Also surviving are two Granddaughters, Diedre and Laura Tietz of Hiawatha. Two sisters, Marjorie Goodman and Merna Back. Three brothers; James Hall, Earle Hall, and Ronald Hall. Murray is proceeded in death by his parents, two sisters, Bessie Mae Hall and Mary Lou Hopp, and one brother, Wayne D. Hall. Murray was born July19, 1928 in Greene Valley, Iowa the Son of Murray and Bessie (Ponchard) Hall. Murray worked for LL Pelling for 53 years. He was a 50-year member of The Masonic Order and belonged to VFW Post #8797 and The American Legion Post 228. Murray enjoyed hunting and carpentry.
