Susan D. High, 77, of Marion received her heavenly wings on Friday, September 18, 2026. Born on December 28, 1948, in Marshalltown, Iowa; the daughter of Marvin and Ruth (Nickels) Wehrman. No services will be held at this time.
She had a special love for nature and enjoyed raising Monarch butterflies for the Nature Center. She also took great pride in her show Shelties, which brought her much joy throughout the years.
She married the love of her life, Ed High, in 1969. Together, they shared more than 60 years of love, family, and cherished memories.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Ed; her son, Jack High of Marion; her grandchildren, Heather Locke (Fuller), Kelsea Williams, and Dakota High; two great-granddaughters; her brother, Richard; and her sister, Karen.
Susan was preceded in death by parents.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Terrace Glenn Nursing Home for the kindness, care and compassion they showed Sue and the High family. The kindness and compassion extended to Sue and her family during those difficult days will never be forgotten.
