Sheryl Clifton Deskin
Sheryl Deskin, 84, passed peacefully in her sleep at the Community Care Center, Stuart, Iowa on September 23, 2026.
She was the eldest of Todd and Darlene Clifton’s four children.
A life-long Methodist, she graduated from Stuart High in 1960, American Institute of Business, 1961, State of Iowa Leadership Program, married and divorced a high school sweetheart, worked for The United Methodist Church and the State of Iowa, married her beloved Jack Deskin in 1983, who passed in 2009.
She is survived by her siblings, extended family, step-family and treasured friends.
Her membership/volunteer efforts throughout the years: Des Moines Police Department (Operation ID), Des Moines Crisis Line Counseling, Franklin Avenue Library, Greater Des Moines Garden Club, Des Moines Botanical Center, Taylor Hospice House, Iowa Department on Aging, Des Moines Iowa Quilters Guild, and Red Hat Ladies.
Per her wishes cremation has taken place and her ashes scattered. No services will be held.
