David Victor LeGrand
David Victor LeGrand, 79, of Cedar Rapids passed away September 30, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.
David was born on September 14, 1947, in Dubuque, IA, the son of Victor Joseph and Mary Leona (Kass) LeGrand. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. On March 21, 1969, David was united in marriage to Janice Lea Lehner at Rock Island, IL. He attended Kirkwood Community College for welding and small engine repair. David was a member of St. Ludmila Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. He worked at Terex prior to his retirement. David liked to hunt and fish and watch NASCAR. There wasn’t a casino he hadn’t visited in his retirement. David watched WNBA and cheered for Caitlin Clark. His favorite football team was the Chicago Bears. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There wasn’t a thing he couldn’t fix or figure out how to. David absolutely loved his wife and her BBQ ribs.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Janice; daughters, Lisa Marie and DeAnne; grandchildren, Nicole LeGrand, Zac LeGrand (Lauren), Britney LeGrand (Colten Mastin), Hugo Martinez of Cedar Rapids, and Mikayla (Keith) Colehour; great-grandchildren, Lennox Amir LeGrand, Lakelynn Lux LeGrand, Evelyn Mae LeGrand, Beau Dean Mastin, and Keslynne Donna Colehour; and siblings, Bill LeGrand and Diane Shultz.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
