Corrine Louise Atkins, Age 90, of Clarence, Iowa, passed away at her home on Thursday, November 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Corrine was born on June 29, 1936, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late Frederick John and Lucille (Hammond) Bachman. She graduated from Clarence High School in 1954. On December 26, 1954, Corrine married the love of her life, Ronald Atkins in Clarence, IA. She was a longtime member of the Clarence United Methodist Church and the friends of the Edna Lybel Library. She worked for the Clarence Co-Op for 28 years as a clerk. Corrine enjoyed reading, gardening, and travelling.
Those left to cherish Corrine’s memory are her children, Ann (Cary) Branch of Dallas, TX, Arlene (Steve) Lyon, of Olin, IA, and Robin Atkins, of Clarence, IA; her grandchildren, Kasey (Leslie) Lyon, Kelly (Kyle) Huston, Alie Atkins, AnDee Atkins, and Barron Branch; her great-grandson, Curtis Lyon; her brother William Bachman of Clarence, IA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Atkins, her parents, her siblings, Donald Bachman and Shirley Stousteimer, and a half-brother, David Bachman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
