Obituary for Linda Fritcher

Linda, age 78, of Saratoga, IA, passed away peacefully on May 31st, 2026 at Mitchell County Regional Health Center surrounded by the love of her family. 

Linda lived a life full of laughter, love, and cherished memories. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and the people she loved most. Whether she was packing the RV for camping trips with Russ, skunking you in a game of cribbage, striking it big on the sizzling 7s, enjoying a glass of wine with friends, or relaxing by a warm campfire, she embraced every moment with a smile.

Above all else, Linda was devoted to her family. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her love, support, and presence were gifts that will continue to be felt by all who knew her.

She will be remembered for her kindness, sense of humor, generous heart, and the countless memories she created with family and friends. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, laughter, and togetherness will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband Russ, daughter, Michelle Berentsen (Slim), son, Ryan Haacke (Michelle), step-children, Shannon Fritcher (Jodi), Shawn Fritcher (Emily), Heidi Christensen (Casey), Holli Staley (Derek). As well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Mary Kraubetz, brother Larry Kraubetz and sister-in-law Judy Kraubetz.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 14th, 2026, at Rowdy Beaver in Riceville, IA from 2-6pm. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a life well lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend time with loved ones, enjoy a game of cribbage, gather around a campfire, or raise a glass in memory of Linda.
