Obituary for Clarene Jo Taylor

Clarene Jo Taylor was born on August 23, 1947 and passed away on May 17, 2026. She was born to Clarence and Laura Anderson at home in Carney, Iowa. She married John McNeeley in 1965 and later remarried into the Taylor Family. She is survived by her sister, Noreen (the late Roger) Callison and her children, John Taylor, LaRay (Devlin) Plath and Traci (Dale) Larson. She has six grandchildren, Jeremie (Christie) Taylor, Amy (Shreya) Sego, Andrew (Jessica) Larson, Jordan Plath, Abbie Larson and Leah Plath) and six great grandchildren (Savannah, RyAnn, Lars, Ash, Ben and Theo). She had many beloved in-laws, cousins, nephews and nieces and friends as well.

She had a variety of jobs through her life, like working at Des Moines Christian Schools and cleaning private houses. Clarene loved gardening, looking for wild asparagus, putting a pot of coffee on at 3AM and spending time with her family.

She was so loved and will be missed deeply. Have some polenta or tortellini in her honor.
