Obituary for Carol Ann Adams

Carol Ann Adams, 82, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, May 7th, 2026.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 31st, 2026, from 1:00-5:00 pm at the Eagle’s Club, 1735 11th St NW, Cedar Rapids. A private family service and burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Cedar Rapids at a later date. 

Carol was born on July 14, 1943, in Iowa City, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary Belle (Joslin) Wenger.  She graduated from Elkader High School in 1961. On June 29, 1963, she married Larry Lee Adams in Caledonia, MN.  She worked as a self-employed daycare provider for over 25 years and loved crocheting, crafts, and camping.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, son, Jerry, her parents, and her siblings, Jeanne Marie Williams, and Ronald Wenger.  Survivors include her children, Larry “Joe”, Shannon (Bryan) Day, Kerry (Joanie) Adams, Genevieve “Jenni,” and Bobby Adams; grandchildren, Alicia, Jesse, and Tanner Adams, Kenny (Jule) Day, Austin Day, Cody Adams, Kelsey (Drew) Anderson, JenaLee Adams, and Samuel Adams; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Dave Wenger (Michelle Hamilton), Laurie Wenger; along with several nieces and nephews.
