Kevin Dale Coleman, 66, of Walker, IA, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026.
Kevin Dale Coleman was born July 18, 1959, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Dale and Roberta (Monaghan) Coleman. He graduated from North Linn High School in 1977. Since 1992, Kevin has been a member of Union Local #25 as a pipeline welder. Kevin was a very talented welder willing to tackle any job that came his way in his weld shop that he owned and operated for over 40 years.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Jodie; Sons, Martin Coleman of Florida and Mitchell (Kaelee) Coleman of Walker; Stepsons, Greg (Carrie) Murphy of Vinton, Eugene Murphy of Marion; 5 grandchildren; Siblings, Jim (Judy), Leo, Larry (Kim), Don, Rose Kane and Vince; Sister-in-laws, Sarah, Sue and Jackie; Aunt, Betty Dooley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ed Coleman and a nephew, Joe Coleman.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00am -3:00pm on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Monti Community Center, 2854 Washington Ave, Coggon, IA 52218. A private family inurnment will be at a later date in the Monti cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in his name to Unity Point Hospice, 290 Blairs Ferry Rd NE #100, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402 or the Monti Community Center.
The family would like to especially thank the Unity Point Hospice staff for all the love and care given to Kevin and his family.
