Gloria Jean Lowe

Gloria Jean Lowe (MacFarland), 81, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026. She was born on January 4, 1945, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Howard MacFarland and Zelma Ulch (Andrews), who preceded her in death.

Gloria was also preceded in death by her siblings, Harold MacFarland and Nancy Thompson (MacFarland).

She is lovingly survived by her son, Brian Lowe; her daughter, Amy Mead(Lowe); her cherished granddaughter, Chantal Sheridan; and her treasured great-granddaughter, Brynlee Cannon, who brought her immense joy.

Gloria had a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for making others laugh. Whether it was one of her countless jokes or her quick wit, she could brighten a room and bring smiles to those around her. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially listening to her favorite music. Elvis Presley and Brooks & Dunn were among the artists she loved most, and their songs often filled her days with happiness.

More than anything, Gloria treasured the time she spent with her family. She will be remembered for her laughter, her kind heart, and the love she shared so freely with those fortunate enough to know her.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in the countless memories she gave us and the love that will remain with us always. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

“Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day—unseen, unheard, but always near.”
