Glenn E. Downing, Jr., Age 62, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
A Celebration of Life will be held later.
Glenn was born on December 12, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, IA. He was the son of the late Melvin and Burnita (Hearn) Dennis. Glenn enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with his pets, teasing and joking with his nieces and nephews. Glenn was a Jack-of-all-trades who enjoyed helping his family whenever he could.
Those left to cherish Glenn’s memory is his daughter, Leah DeVos of Cedar Rapids, IA; his grandchildren, Alexis, Ariana, Shawn, Trenten, and Nevaeh; his great-grandchildren, Kamarion, Junior, Suriyah, and Camelle; his siblings, Glenda Williams, of Cedar Rapids, IA, Brenda Downing of Marion, IA, and Tammy Shepherd of Cedar Rapids, IA; a step-brother, Stevie Dennis; his beloved dog, Angel; his nieces and nephews, Tabitha, Jared, ZaDaysha, Leeroy, Stacy, Chanda, Jimmie, Porchia, and Jamison. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandchild, Kamaree, a great-grandchild, Amelia, and his dog, KoKo.
