Kimberly Dawn Sharpe, “Kim,” passed away on July 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Services will be held at a later date.
Kim was born on October 8, 1962, to Neil Glass and Lana Fifield in Cedar Rapids, IA. She graduated from Prairie High School. She worked as an IT specialist at McLeod USA for over 30 years, where her coworkers became a second family to her.
She was a Hawkeye fan and loved watching Iowa sports, as well as Indiana Fever basketball. Her favorite holiday was the 4th of July, which she was able to celebrate with her family before her passing.
Her family was her greatest joy. She prioritized spending time with them. She loved hearing her grandkids laugh. She always had her “favorite son” by her side; her loyal dog, Bo.
Kim is survived by her sons; Jacob Sharpe, Lucas (Ashley) Sharpe, and Cody Sharpe; her grandchildren, Kyra, Aurora, and Eli; her best friend and father of her children, Gary Sharpe; her stepmother, Doris Glass; her aunt Kris (Kirk) Rosel; her siblings, Michael (Kara) Cobb, Rodney (Karen) Glass, Rachel (Stephen) Warner; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Bo.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Neil Glass and Lana Fifield; and her mother-in-law, Gwenyth Sharpe.
