Jane Ann Deitrich
Jane Ann Deitrich, 69, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on July 22, 2026, after a courageous 14-year battle with cancer. She was born September 27, 1956, in Sigourney, Iowa. Jane grew up in Sigourney, Iowa where she met her husband Ronnie (McGee). They married on November 11, 1980, spending 46 years together. Together they raised a family of 2 boys (Josh & Zach), making memories fishing at the family farm and at state parks throughout Iowa, and taking summer family trips to various zoos around the Midwest.
Jane worked at Rockwell Collins for over 20 years. She spent over a decade coaching youth baseball for her two sons, a role she loved deeply. Jane later found even more joy cheering on her grandchildren through their sports and activities — always ready to spoil them with treats, toys, and sports cards. Jane also found joy in all things nature related, including mules, watching cardinals and eagles, and planting trees.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony (AJ) and Geraldine Cavin; her father-in-law, Lloyd Deitrich, and mother-in-law, Virginia Werhenberg; son, Zach Deitrich; and grandson, Charlie Deitrich.
Jane is survived by her husband, Ronnie (McGee) Deitrich of Cedar Rapids; her son Josh Deitrich (wife Anne) of Milwaukee, WI, grandchildren, Ben and Emily Deitrich; her sisters Sandy Hammess (husband Mike) of Iowa City, IA, and Linda Johnston (husband Dennis) of Ottumwa, IA; and her brothers Andy Cavin (wife Bonnie) of Sigourney, IA, and Dan Cavin (wife Jae) of Hayesville, IA.
A private service and burial will be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Hall Perrine Cancer Center in Cedar Rapids, IA.
