Edwin Allan Seibert, 78, from Dexter, IA passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, after a brief illness.
A Funeral Service will be held on September 18, 2026, at Veterans Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Dr., Adel, IA at 9:30am. Following the service, family and friends will meet at the American Legion Hall, 403 910 Main Street, Van Meter, IA, from 10am–12pm for a Celebration of Life.
His family includes his wife, Saundra of Dexter; sons: Duane (Kristi) of Des Moines, Tony (Hope) of Bellaire Bluffs, FL, Thomas Wahlert of Dexter; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ellie (Steve) Johnson of Bella Vista, AR, along with other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Carolyn Hildenbrand and Joanne Gilliam; brothers Alfred and Kenneth; and daughter Lisa Wahlert.
Born October 23, 1947, in Des Moines, IA to Leo and Josephine Stecker Seibert, he was the fifth child. He lived in the Grimes/Johnson area until moving to Dexter. He served in the Army in Vietnam. He was a Master Diesel Mechanic before becoming a truck driver.
