In loving memory of Susan, it is with a heavy heart that the family shares her passing on Friday, January 9, 2026, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital in Waterloo.
Susan K. Fuhrmann, 77, of Evansdale, was born on June 13, 1948, the daughter of Austin and Fern Orvis Sheeley. Susan married the love of her life, Lester John Fuhrmann, on February 6, 1966. They were blessed with two children, Chris (Angie) Fuhrmann and Jeana Little; eight grandchildren, Billy (Samantha) Little, Austin Little, Ariel Marson, Anthony Marson, Luka Fuhrmann, Dominic Young, Keoda Young and Nevaeh Young; great grandchildren, Layla Marson and Jayden Young and a brother, Mike (Pat) Sheeley.
Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Lester and sisters: Joanne Sheeley, Jeanie Reeves and Karen Kloster.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, January 17 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4031 Lafayette Rd., Evansdale. Visitation for an hour before the service at the church.
Susan will be remembered for her love and grace. She was deeply kind, grounded in her faith, generous and a friend to all. She will be missed by everyone that was privileged to know her.
The family would like to express special appreciation to Susan’s caregivers, especially Jenna in ICU, Doug in hospice and her home health team, Bonnie, Carrie and Jenna.
