Helen Pauline (Lee) McCleary
Helen Pauline (Lee) McCleary of Murray, Iowa was born on December 3, 1944 to James Leslie "Les" Lee and Annie Earline (Roan) Davis. She passed away on January 23, 2026.
She was mother to Shelby Lee, Jim Hewitt, and Charlotte (McCleary) Kellar. She was united in marriage to Monty McCleary in February 1977, and they were together for well over 50 years.
Pauline attended Murray Community School and was employed over the years at Murray Products, Winnebago, Furnas Electric, and Dekko. She made many good friends along the way. She loved to crochet and all things Elvis Presley.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Dale Davis, father and mother-in-law Dick and Neta McCleary, sister Patricia (Patty) Lee, sister-in-law Alberta Lee, brothers-in-law Dick Reynolds and Don McCleary, and nephews Steven Gonseth, Kenny O’Neall, and Douglas O’Neall.
Pauline is survived by, and will be greatly missed by, her husband Monty of Murray, Iowa, daughter Shelby of Evansville, WI, son Jim and wife Shelley of Osceola, IA, and daughter Charlotte and husband Sam of Evansville, WI.
She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Braden and Skyler (Judy) Fauble, Cullen (Liz) and Holden Hewitt, and Cadence and Mason Kellar. Great Grandchildren Ryan, Desarey, Xiomara, Zeneida, and Hayden. Sister Phyllis Reynolds and brothers Don Lee and Wayne (Joyce) Lee, sisters-in-law Martha (Larry) O'Neall and Roseanne McCleary, brother-in-law Max (Bertina) McCleary, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
