Jane Ann Burrow
Jane Ann Burrow, 72, of West Union, Iowa, passed away on February 3, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 7, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Quarry Lodge in Clermont.
Jane was born on May 1, 1953, to Otis and Gayle (Broadbent) Torkelson. She graduated from Valley of Elgin, where she met the love of her life, Dave Burrow. One motorcycle ride was all it took for them to become high school sweethearts; they were married on August 28, 1971, in Elgin. Jane later earned her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood from Northeast Iowa Community College.
A huge Minnesota Vikings fan, Jane also enjoyed crafting, gardening, her beloved Camaro, and spending time with her grandchildren. She spent much of her early life as a homemaker, she later fulfilled her desire of becoming a preschool teacher—which she enjoyed immensely.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her father- and mother-in-law, Robert and Virginia Burrow; and her grandmother, Catherine Christianson, a very special and important person in her life .
Jane is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Dave; her children, Jeff (Brandi) Burrow, Lisa (Chris) Hurd, Scott (Jess) Burrow, and Kate (Nathan) Lauer; her grandchildren, Tylen (Jaidyn Hagen), Jace (Bailee Galkin), Cael, Ayden, Rowan, and Leryn Burrow; Will (Jerzi Jones), Dane, and Blade Hurd; Gaige Wisse and Cam Burrow; and Emmett and Hudson Lauer. She is also survived by her sisters, Susan Burrow, Pat Snitker, and Nancy Green, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
