Benjamin Carlos Wiles, 49, of Grimes passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
Benjamin was born on July 19, 1976 in Manizales, Columbia, South America. Jeff and Drenna went over to Columbia to bring him home to live in the United States when he was 10 years old in June of 1986 and they adopted him on June 11, 1987.
He loved playing and watching all sports and outdoor activities. He played soccer and ran track at Hoover High School. He really enjoyed going fishing any chance he could get. He had a strong love for animals, especially his beagle Puma and chihuahuas Pinga and Belia.
Benjamin is survived by his parents Jeff and Drenna. He will be greatly missed by his family.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 17th from 2:00 – 4:00 at the Community Room at Luana Savings Bank in Polk City. Hy-Vee will be catering a lite meal with sandwiches and drinks.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made out to Lazy J Rescue Ranch. The family will then forward them to Lazy J directly.
