William Andrew Knebel, 83, of Dunkerton, IA, passed away on August 26th, 2026. A private military service will be held for immediate family at the Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
Bill was born on December 17th, 1942, to Elmo and Irene (Bakula) Knebel in Dunkerton, IA. He went on to serve in the US Army. On June 27th, 1964, Bill and Barbara Jane (Garbes) were united in marriage. Bill loved sporting his Cub Cadet mower around town, socializing in his garage, and most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his parents (Elmo Knebel & Irene Bakula), his wife Jane (Barbara Jane Garbes), and his son Levi Knebel.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Lisa Larson (Brian) of Hudson, IA and Sara Jo Kohn of Dubuque, IA, and four grandchildren he lovingly nicknamed: Taylor Larson (Snippity Snap), Rylee Larson (Pinkster), Dalton Kohn (Clyde), and Pierce Kohn (Varmit).
