Noble Ronald Gibson
Noble Ronald Gibson, 90, of Hiawatha, Iowa, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Oldorf Hospice House. Per his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no services.
Noble was born March 3, 1936, to Minor and Lorraine (Cox) Gibson in Chula, Missouri. He attended a one room schoolhouse in Chula, Missouri. Noble met Alice Syder early in 1957 and were later married on April 27, 1957, in Kingsland, Georgia. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Coral Sea. Upon the completion of his service in the U.S. Navy, he attended the Missouri School of Mines in Rolla, Missouri. He graduated from the Missouri School of Mines in 1963 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He gave over 30 years of service to Rockwell Collins. In retirement, he kept busy by working on his farm in rural Center Point. Noble was a faithful steward of the land.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Alice Gibson; sons, Greg (LeAnn) Gibson, Stu Gibson, and Andrew Gibson; along with three grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
