Francis Lee Pardoe

Francis Lee Pardoe, 92, a resident of Western Home Communities and longtime resident of Cedar Falls, Iowa, passed away peacefully on August 22nd, 2026. He was born in Chariton, Iowa on December 28, 1933 to Francis and Beulah (Remster) Pardoe. Francis was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Margaret Ann (Fargo) Pardoe as well as his parents and sister Betty. He is survived by his children: Daniel (Elyse), Theresa (Michael), Carol (Nolan), Anthony (Rhonda), Thomas, Susan (Randall), and David (Susan). He is also survived by his brother James Pardoe and sister-in-law Joyce Fargo. He was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

After serving in the Army during the Korean Conflict, he graduated from Drake University with an Accounting degree. He was a long-time employee of John Deere and worked in high level management prior to his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed time wintering in Florida, golfing, playing cards, biking and traveling with family and friends. He and our mother were strong supporters of UNI and loyal Panther fans. His favorite activity was 50 years of fishing in Canada with his good friend Marv Diemer along with numerous family members and friends.

Visitation and the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on August 31st, 2026, with Visitation at 9:30am, and Mass at 10:30 am. Private Interment will follow immediately at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Luncheon to be held at the Church Parish Center following Holy Mass.
