Obituary for Dorothy Ann Crilly

Dorothy (Sis) Ann Crilly, 81, of Arlington, IA, passed away on April 11, 2026, with her family at her side. 

Sis was born on December 28, 1944, to Charles and Louise Mazza in Bay Shore, NY. On July 6, 1968, Sis and Tom Crilly Jr. were united in marriage. Sis moved to Iowa with Tom, and they made their home in Northeast Iowa where they raised four children. Sis became a CNA and enjoyed taking care of people at the Good Samaritan Nursing Center in West Union and Maple Crest Manor in Fayette. She was a bright light to many residents throughout her years as a CNA, and also shared her passion for caring for others by training new CNAs. Sis especially enjoyed knitting and crocheting, baking, gardening, making homemade cards for family and friends, and most of all spending time with her family. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Crilly, Jr; her son, Tommy Crilly III; her parents, Charles and Louise Mazza; sister Mary Lou DeNatalie; brother Raymond Mazza and brother-in-law Donald Arata. 

Sis is survived by her son Keith (Kasey) Crilly of Dundee, Iowa and two daughters, Tiffany (Dan) Halverson of Tripoli, Iowa and Meghan (Jesse) Bond of Strawberry Point, Iowa; twelve grandchildren, Bryce (Jenna) Crilly, Cody Crilly, Jovi (Joe) Crilly, Samantha (David) Eastman, Kinzi Crilly, Addi (Jadyn)Ramirez, Raelyn Curtis, Tyler (Jaylyn) Halverson, Haileigh Halverson, Cale Halverson, Huxton Bond and Brynston Bond; twelve great grandchildren; her siblings, Charles Mazza and Charlene Arata; brother-in-law William DeNatalie, and several nieces and nephews.
