Chad Eric Meyers
Chad Eric Meyers, 53, of Central City, Iowa, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Chad was born May 23, 1972, to Merle and Jeanne (Lyons) Meyers in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Linn Mar High School with the class of 1991. After high school, he attended Kirkwood Community College and received his Associate Degree in Dental Technology. He worked most of his life as a Journeyman Technician with IBEW Local 405. He later helped run the family business and helped on the farm.
He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed four wheeling, hunting deer and morel mushrooms, fishing, and raising chickens. Chad found great joy living on the Wapsipinicon River. When he was not outdoors, you could find Chad woodworking and working on his International Scout. Chad had a big heart and loved helping his friends in need. He loved his family and cherished the time that he spent with them.
Chad is survived by his mother, Jeanne Meyers; siblings, Jason (Jill) and TJ; nieces, Jayden and Chloe Meyers; and his close friends, who he considered family, Tracy Fuller, Sydney Lowe, and Janae Cantu.
He is preceded in death by his father Merle Meyers, and his grandparents Pete and Lois Lyon, and Charlotte Pilgrim and Merle J. Meyers.
