Bonnie Jean (LaRue) Pauls, of Eagle Grove, Iowa, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, at the age of 79.
Bonnie was born on January 15, 1947, to Harley and Jean “Dode” (Baker) LaRue. She was raised in Eagle Grove, where she built a life centered around family and the things she loved most.
Bonnie married Douglas “Dudley” Myrl Pauls in 1965. Together they raised a family and shared many years of memories until his passing in 2022.
Bonnie will be remembered for her sense of humor, welcoming nature and her ability to make others feel comfortable and cared for.
She is survived by her children, Cheri (husband Kent Phillips), Teri Wilson, Ryan (wife Tina) and John; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Pauls; her parents, Harley and Jean LaRue; and her four siblings.
A celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery on May 29, 2026 at 1pm, with a gathering to follow at Rails Bar & Grill.
