Jean Marie Boland-Mattos passed away on September 21, 2025, in Prairie du Chien, WI. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on October 4th at The Harpers Community Center in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Interment will be private, or Services and Interment were held privately.
She was born on December 14, 1947, in Sonoma, CA to Vernon(Ole)Boland & Hazel Jones. Jean worked as a bartender /cook for Rowdy’s Bar and Grill in Prairie du Chien for 20 years. She was the “Best Bartender Ever”. Her passion was collecting items no one else wanted and finding someone who needed it. She was a mini cap office. No one went hungry or unclothed around Jean. She also loved animals, spending time with her family and The Green Bay Packers.
Jean is survived by her life partner Ron Mansfield, her best friend Timothy Byers, her children Bobbie & (Jaime) Rios, Maggie & (Benny) Feliciano; grandchildren, Cameron & (Rachel) Jones, Mariah Pomales, Jayden Feliciano, Bonus daughters & bonus grandchildren; Casta Steiner, Gaige Hatlan, Zayne Loy, Kali Tonn, Adrin, Rylan & Kalin Tonn Lydia Schlicht, Paisley & Bailey Schlicht. Dustin Roberts & Sheena Olsen. Great-grandchildren; Noah Lopez, Zada & Dax Jones. Siblings; Jim Boland, Wanda Hillman, Merle & (Willa) Boland, Rita & (Rod) Jones, Brenda Laufer, Raymond & (Jill) Boland, Charlie & (Candy)Hansen, Pie & (Dale) Donahue, Mike & (Layna) Boland and 29 nieces and nephews
