Beverly Aileen Karrick, age 71, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away at the Living Center West Nursing Home in Cedar Rapids, IA, on Sunday, September 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Beverly was born on December 21, 1953, in Lincoln, IL. She was the daughter of the late, Roger and Shirley (Mason) Karrick. In her younger years, Beverly was a part of the University of Iowa Swimming and Diving Team. She graduated from the University of Iowa in May 1978, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She enjoyed travelling to Farmer’s Markets whenever she could, and during her later years enjoyed listening to country, classic rock and holiday music.
Those left to cherish Beverly’s memory is her son, Keith Casey Karrick Brooks, of Cedar Rapids, IA; her son’s father, Ronald Brooks; and her beloved dog Ruby. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Jean and her siblings, Greg Karrick, and Stephanie Karrick, and her loving dog, Buttons.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to a charity of one’s choice.
