Sharon K. Knowles, Age 78, passed away at the UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Sharon was born on January 7, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was the daughter of the late Leo and Lavon (Mossbarger) Leach. She was a graduate of Cedar Rapids Washington High School. She worked at Quaker Oats for several years before she retired. On July 3, 1993, Sharon married Larry Knowles in Lisbon, IA. She was a member of the Swisher American Legion. She enjoyed quilting, croqueting, and garage sale shopping.
Those left to cherish Sharon’s memory is her husband, Larry Knowles, of North English, IA; her children, Lisa (Brian) Pruess, of Cedar Rapids, David (Janet) Dostal, of Florida, John (Angie) Dostal, Sr., of Des Moines, IA, Bonnie Shelton (Steve Cloke), of Marengo, and Larry Hutchcroft, of Marshalltown; her sister, Jackie Doolin, of Marion, IA; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Barb Smith, Donna Leach, and Rick Leach.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to a charity of one’s choice.
