Judy Ann Niedorf

Judy Ann Petersen Niedorf, 77, of Clarence, Iowa passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, at UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.  In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites were accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Bennett Legion Hall.

Judy was born January 1, 1948, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Vernon and Luella (Reese) Petersen.  She was the middle of two older brothers and two younger sisters.  Judy grew up a country girl around the Tipton area and attended Tipton High School. After graduating she started working for the Cedar Johnson Farm Service and made a 43-year career with the F.S. System.  Judy also worked at Cedar County Co-Op for four in half years before taking retirement.

She married Art Niedorf, and they later divorced but remained friends.  Judy was blessed with two daughters, Samantha Sue and Lori Lynn.  She lived in Bennett, Iowa, for forty-eight years, before selling her house and moving to Clarence to be closer to her family.  She loved the outdoors, and in her spare time, she loved to go camping, fishing, and hunting.  

Judy is survived by her daughter, Lori (Rod) Dennis of Clarence, IA; a brother, Ron (Marica) Petersen of Clarence, IA; two sisters, Janet (Andy) Anderson of Rochester, MN; Kim (Doug) Stiff of Tipton, IA; two granddaughters, Sydney Kay Dennis and Claire Nicole Dennis both of Clarence, IA; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Gary (Pete), and a daughter, Samantha Sue.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the family.
