To Darrel's children: We were just thinking of Darrel today and discovered you were having a send off for him at just about the same time - we're sorry we missed it. Your dad was a pretty amazing guy. He was always kind to us and we never left a conversation with him without a laugh or a thought. He never shied away from any 'old house project' we may have been doing and came up with a solution for us. Anamosa has lost a memorable pillar of the community. Our prayers are with you all.

So sorry to hear about Darrel. Every time we went out to the Care Center we were able to talk with him and shared some laughs and memories. Our last visit was in October. We will always remember him. You are all in our prayers. Now all of the original Knoll Street guys are together again.
