Charlie. The legend the man that was always walking past our house. I loved giving you a hard time when we talked and you gave it right back to me. Bro fly high and may you rest in Peace and Joy. Love you man. My prayers to you Sue...

I was absolutely stunned and shocked to read of Charlie’s death this morning in the Gazette! Obviously I hadn’t seen him in long time so didn’t know he was ill. I immediately thought of all the good times we had watching our kids play baseball and other sports when they were young and coaching together! He was always full of life. To Sue, Carl, BJ, and the rest of his family please accept my deepest sympathy!

Charlie was a great guy - someone here said legend - and I agree. I watched sports and coached along side Charlie and really lived through those games and seasons with him . He brought great energy , enthusiasm and insight . He was direct and told it like it was , in a way that was positive , constructive and with humor . He had a very good and healthy perspective on competition and passed that through to the kids - So much fun to strategize and recap games and life with him . I thought he could be a high level coach but more important he was a high level person which lives through his family . My ongoing thoughts and prayers go out to Sue , Carl , BJ and their families.

I will deeply miss my friend ( neighbor ), more than anyone could ever imagine. Thinking of him walking by or riding his bike by, and stopping to chat will forever be remembered and missed. Be well my friend on your amazing journey.

I am saddened to learn of Charlie’s passing at this young age. He was a good father to his sons (and mine too). My condolences to BJ, Carl and Sue and your whole family. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to learn of Charlie's passing. He was our neighbor when I was in high school. I baby sat for Carl and Brian when they were babies and toddlers. He also happened to be my grandparents insurance agent. I always enjoyed visiting with him and Sue. My sympathies to Sue, Carl, and Brian. Charlie was a great guy!
