Richard Emery Wuest
In doing some research in regards to the Knoxville High School Athletic Hall of Fame I came across the name of Dick Wuest. I never personally knew Dick, but my older brother was coached by him at Knoxville and always held him in high regard. I wish I would’ve been able to speak to him before he passed, about his time at Knoxville. I know that it was fairly brief but I think he may have been able to fill in some blanks for me about that time frame. Not many left that have memories of that time. Anyway, I’m sincerely sorry for your loss. I’m know that I have heard nothing but admiration for him from my late brother and I am sure that his memory is consistent with many others who were privileged to his tutelage. RIP, Coach Wuest.
Dave and I would like to send our most sincere sympathy to the Wuest family. May God hold Dick and his family and friends in his arms through this most difficult time. He was one of my teachers. He was a good teacher and a tough teacher but he would let you do extra credit to pass his class. Glenda Dave and I are so sorry for your loss. RIP he will truly be missed.
I always looked up to my cousin Dick and was glad to visit with him whenever we saw each other which wasn't enough. My dad always bragged Dick up and backed him 100%. God Bless and condolences to the family.l Rudy and Sally Wuest. zH
