James L. Lewis passed away on June 24, 2025, in Coralville IA. A celebration of life will be held privately by his family.
He was born on February 26, 1946, in Creston, IA to Leroy and Frieda (Priddy) Lewis. James loved singing, fishing, libraries, playing pool and traveling the U.S. and Canada. His great intellect, especially for mechanical devices, allowed him to serve his country in the U.S. Army after school for a time and various other jobs over the years. He was kind to all, strangers and family alike. He was loved deeply and will be missed.
James is survived by his children, Kate Lewis, Elliot Lewis, Ellen Robertson and Jessica Nelson.
