Gary Allen Porter, 62, of Edgewood, died June 20, 2025. Gary was born December 13, 1963, in Elkader, Iowa, to George and Una Porter. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, June 24 from 4 to 7 p.m., at Edgewood Golf Course in Edgewood.
Gary enjoyed fishing, playing cards, playing pool, working on his boat, Z28 Cameros and spending time with his family and friends. He worked at EIP for over 20 years, Del-Cay and Kendricks Forest Products and worked for his family’s construction company.
Gary is survived by his children, Emilie (Dave Wright) Porter, of Manchester, Kyle Porter of Masonville; brother, Jack (Gwen) Porter, of Edgewood; sister, Barb (Bob) Murphy of Cedar Rapids; grandson, Cooper Wright; granddaughter, Kaylee Porter; special friends, Misty and Andy Pautsch. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, George and Una Porter.
