Dean Frederick Langan, 86, of Waterloo, IA, passed away on June 21st, 2025, at the Cedar Valley Hospice House in Waterloo.
Dean was born on January 14, 1939, to Harold and Leona Langan in Waterloo, IA. He married Betty Wettengel on January 18, 1964. She preceded him in death in 2019. He is survived by his daughter Anne (Rick) Klinger, daughter in law Andrea (Shawn) Weber, his grandchildren Brady (Lauren Thome) Pittman, Noah (Natalie Sides) Pittman, Connor (Mary Kate) Langan, Kelsey Langan, Christian Langan, his great grandchildren Mallory and Marshall Pittman, his brothers Keith (Connie) Langan, Norris (Jan) Langan, and his sister Sharon (Harry) Schmit. Dean is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his beloved son Patrick, his brothers Bill, Darrell, Dan and Steve, and his sister Bonnie.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday June 29th, from 4:00 -7:00 pm at the Elks Club, 407 E. Park Ave. Waterloo, IA. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to Cedar Valley Hospice.
Dean was a man of great character. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. He loved to golf and watch sports, but his greatest love was his family. He will be greatly missed.
