Kristine E. Wilson, Age 72, of Cedar Rapids, IA, died Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the Unity Point St. Luke’s Hospital, after a brief illness. Per her wishes, Kris was cremated. A Celebration of Life service to celebrate Kris’ life will be held at a later date in the Quad Cities.
Her surviving family includes her sister, Kathleen (Roger) Kelley of Robins, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Eugene and Margaret (Rigg) Wilson.
Kris was born on September 4, 1952, at Moline Public Hospital in Moline, IL and lived in Rock Island, IL for her younger years. She graduated from Alleman High School in Rock Island in 1970 and later attended Black Hawk College School of Nursing. Kris worked at Moline Public Hospital in Intensive Care before moving to Tampa, FL, where she worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Tampa, FL, in intensive Care, Psych, and OB units. Kris moved back to the Midwest area in 2008 to retire and be closer to her family.
Kris loved the beach, enjoyed reading and watching Pro Football, especially her favorite Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
