Donald Duane Beisch

Donnie Beisch, aged 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 15, 2025. Born on May 18, 1945, Donnie was the beloved son of Suzanne and Edward Beisch.

Donnie graduated from Algona High School in 1964 and furthered his education at Iowa Lakes Community College and Mankato State University.

He served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967.

On October 26, 1969, Donnie married Marcia Sabin, beginning a beautiful journey together. Donnie dedicated 37 years of his life to Hormel, where he was known for his hard work and commitment. His faith in God was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him through every moment.

A man of many passions, Donnie cherished spending time with his family, taking care of his pool, traveling, playing cards, and enjoying the company of his grandchildren. He found joy in simple pleasures like car rides, beach outings, and spending time in Florida. His love for making snowmen, attending fairs, participating in his patriot group, and enjoying music concerts brought him immense happiness. Donnie also had a special fondness for lawn care, taking pride in maintaining a beautiful yard.

Donnie is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Marcia, and his children and their families: Laurie and Tim MacFarlane and their children, Jessica (Brad), Catharin (Zach), and Landon; Chad and Faith Beisch and their children, Kyle, Morgan, and Kaleb; Todd and Sarah Beisch and their daughter, Julie. He also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Charli and Lila. Additionally, Donnie is survived by his siblings: Bob Beisch, Betty Boeckholt, and Dorothy Householder; as well as many nieces and nephews. Donnie’s warmth, kindness, unique sense of humor, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love and dedication to his family and community will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Grace Church in Algona, Iowa.
