Delores Ann Ruther

Delores Ann Ruther, 93, of Clarence, passed away peacefully, in the early morning hours of
July 19, 2025. Private services and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Delores was born to Christian and Emma (Ebert) Muesing on April 17, 1932, in rural Clarence.
She was united in marriage to Donald Ruther on January 14, 1956. Donald passed away
January 26, 1992. Together, they farmed north of Clarence and raised three children, Dennis
(Karla) of Lowden, Denise of Cleburne, TX and Dean (Denise) of Clarence.

Delores was an active member of the Clarence Legion Auxiliary and St. John’s United Church of Christ. She surrounded herself as often as possible with her children, grandchildren,
Benjamin (Kelli) of Lowden, Lindsey (Nick) Sander of Clarence, Anna (Darren) Pruess of
Clarence, Tad (Taran) of Norwalk, and Becca (Slater) Johansen of Norwalk; and great-grandchildren, Rylan, Vera & Charlotte Ruther; Ellie & Leo Sander; Leah, Luke & Lane Pruess;
Aubrey & Ava Ruther; Jensen & Preston Johansen. Two more great-grandchildren are expected later this year. Many cookies, cinnamon rolls, cakes, loaves of rye bread and pies were made with extra love for all her beloved family and friends. She was known far and wide for her delicious care packages sent to those lucky loved ones. She embraced and embodied the term ‘Grandmother’ and leaves behind wonderful memories and traditions to carry on.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Marvin, Harold, Walter and
Raymond Muesing; sisters Eleanor Schroeder, Bernita Biere, Joan Meyer and Janice
Resewehr.

The family is sincerely grateful for the wonderful care and compassion given to Delores by her caregivers and support team in her final years.
