Scott F. Brady, 74, of Central City, IA passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2025, in Central City.
He was the oldest son, born January 18, 1950, in Cedar Rapids to Francis and Velma (Canaday) Brady.
Scott went to school and graduated from Cedar Rapids High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps where he later served as Corporal in Okinawa, Japan. Scott worked as a self-employed machinist. After his retirement in 2015, he enjoyed listening to the Beatles, playing the guitar and working on his farm, enjoying the farm surroundings and wildlife. Scott loved spending the holidays with his family at the farm.
He is survived by his son, Brian (Angela) Brady; grandchildren, Zach Hayes, Noah Johnson, Ethan Johnson and Isabella; great-grandchildren, Elliott Hayes, Juliea Gleason, Lucas Johnson and Zayden Johnson; brother, Kirk (Shelly) Brady and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Kristin (Lindsey); his parents; sister Connie Hultquist; and nephew, David Hultquist.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the farm at a later date.
