Gertrude Ann Taylor of Waterloo, IA passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 23, 2025.
Ann, her preferred name, was born December 26, 1951, in Ottumwa Iowa. Daughter of William Jacob Pickrell and Hazel Inez (Currier) Pickrell. Ann resided for much of her life in Waterloo, IA where she was a dedicated mother and home health care worker.
Ann loved working in home health care and caring for people was her passion. Ann had three daughters and two sons. In addition to her love for family and home health care, you would find mom at auctions or flea markets looking for Pepsi-Cola or Tigger to add to her collections. She loved playing pool, line dancing and country music.
Mom was Preceded in death by her parents William and Hazel, her brother Bill and Sister in law Sharon, sisters Elaine and Edna, and her two very best friends Loretta and Snyder.
She is survived by her Daughter's Rexanna Brozoski(Joey), Helen Taylor, April
Huddleston(Anthony) Sons E. Curtis Receveur III, and David Receveur(Tracee), grandchildren Victor, Corbin, Jenn, Zach, Andrew, Austen, Alissa, Aidan, Aubree, Kianna, Montia, Deacon(Malea), Shedrick, Sakyia and 8 great grandchildren.
Mom requested no formal funeral services. To honor her wishes a memorial service will be held on February 28 at Antique Acres in Cedar Falls starting at 12 PM to raise a toast to such an amazing woman!
