Beverly was raised in Stuart, Iowa, and attended Stuart-Menlo High School where she made many life-long friends. Beverly graduated in1972, and after graduation, she began a career in the insurance industry and later moved to Des Moines, Iowa. In 1978, she was united in marriage to Dennis Dickey. Beverly and her former husband were blessed with two children, Brandi and Dusty. Later, Beverly moved to Norwalk, Iowa, with her children and devoted her time to being an amazing mother. Bev was also an amazing baker, who loved to share her treats, like sweet rolls and “Bev” buns, with those she loved. She was known to make special batches of Chex mix, every holiday season for her friends and family.
Bev was a woman of faith, and it was this faith, strength, and love of God that helped her through the tragic loss of her daughter, Brandi. From this tragedy, Bev's faith continued to grow, and she never forgot all the special people in her life. Her love and faith extended to many others throughout her lifetime. She had a gift for making everyone feel special and could quickly turn a stranger into a friend.

She is survived by her son Dusty Dickey (Lindsay) and granddaughter Zoey Dickey; her brothers Bob Sloss (Diana), Bill Sloss (Sharon), and Ben Sloss (Loretta); and her long-term partner Ron Morrison. She was an “honorary” mother to Jeff Morrison (Sonya) and Rex Morrison, which included being a grandmother to Dane and Ty Morrison.
