Robert F. Konigsmark, 84, of Cedar Rapids, passed away February 7, 2025. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.
Robert was born on December 5, 1940, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Robert and Blanche Konigsmark. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School. Robert retired from Iowa Midland Supply after 28 years of service. His hobbies included coaching girls’ basketball and watching Iowa Hawkeye Sports and Chicago Cubs Baseball. Robert’s proudest moment was spearheading the efforts to rebuild and put lights up on the Cedar Rapids Jefferson Baseball field so parents could watch their son’s play at night instead of having to take time off of work to watch them play during the day.
Survivors include three children, Richard Konigsmark (Denise), David Konigsmark (Kristin), and Crista Konigsmark; daughter-in-law, Robin Konigsmark; and seven grandchildren, Bryce, Tory, Sydney, Brock, Tyler, Tyson, and Jillissa.
Preceding him in death were his parents and son, Robert Konigsmark.
