With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Anne “Betzi” Kohrt, who left this world on February 25, 2025, just shy of her 63rd birthday. Betzi was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit touched all who knew her.
Born on March 24, 1962, Betzi spent much of her life in Elkhart, Indiana, where she raised her children with love and devotion. Whether stitching a garment or crafting something special for a loved one, her work reflected the care she put into everything she did. She was also an amazing cook, known for making meals that nourished both the body and the soul.
Above all, Betzi was a devoted Christian whose faith guided her throughout her life. She had a remarkable ability to see the blessings in every situation, offering wisdom and encouragement to those around her. No matter the challenges she faced, she approached life with grace, gratitude, and an unshakable belief in God’s love.
