Julia A. Dillavou Batchelder
Julia A. Dillavou Batchelder was born on June 3, 1948, to Forest D. and Mattie Dillavou. She passed away December 28, 2025, at the age of 77.
She was raised in Evansdale and graduated from East Waterloo High School. Following high school, Julia attended beauty school, pursuing her passion for creativity and working with people. Julia went on to own and operate her own beauty salon. After closing the salon, she turned her love of cake decorating into a venture that sold beautifully decorated cakes along with cake decorating supplies.
Julia married Richard Batchelder, who survives her. She is also survived by her brothers, Forest R. (Janet) Dillavou and Marv Dillavou; her sister, Brenda Dillavou; and several nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters and one brother.
