Eileen Bahlmann

Eileen Bahlmann (née Kacher), age 84, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, in Tripoli, Iowa. Born on August 15, 1941, in New Hampton, Iowa, Eileen lived a life rooted in love, faith, and dedication to her family and community.

She was the daughter of Leonard and Madonna Kacher and grew up in rural Iowa, where she attended Little Turkey Country School. From an early age, Eileen displayed a talent for music, becoming proficient in both piano and violin—skills that brought joy to those around her throughout her life.

Eileen married Kenny Bahlmann, with whom she shared a long and devoted partnership. Together they raised three children: Annette, Allison, and Tim. Eileen was a stay-at-home mother during her children's early years, providing them with unwavering care and support until they began school. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her own family as she found joy in babysitting for others in the community.

Later in life, Eileen worked as a temporary clerk at the local Post Office—a role that allowed her to remain active within the town she loved. She had a deep affection for Frederika and cherished the friendships she built there over the years.

A devout Catholic, Eileen’s faith was a guiding force throughout her life. She found peace and purpose through her spiritual beliefs and was known for her loving nature, compassion, and loyalty.

Eileen had a special connection to nature. She loved being outdoors—planting flowers, landscaping her yard, and taking in the beauty of each season. Her home bloomed with color thanks to her green thumb and passion for gardening. Animals also held a special place in her heart.

Those who knew Eileen will remember her Irish humor that could light up any room. She valued time spent with friends and family above all else—whether sharing stories over coffee or enjoying quiet moments together.

She is survived by her husband, Kenny; daughters, Annette and Allison; a granddaughter, Ashlen; and many dear friends who were touched by her warmth and kindness.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Madonna Kacher; sister Leone Kobliska; nephew Ricky Kobliska; and son Tim.

Her memory will live on through the lives she touched with grace, laughter, and love. May her legacy bring comfort to all who knew her.

Memorial gifts may be directed to Security State Bank, Frederika, in lieu of flowers.

A memorial service with the family will be held at a later date.
