William Eugene Duncan, 74, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on August 25, 2025. He was born on March 30, 1951, in Algona, Iowa, to Eldon and Lila Duncan.
Bill graduated from Central High School. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his service, he went on to build a successful career, retiring from Westside Transport.
Bill cherished time with his family and enjoyed the simple moments spent with his loved ones. He was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan and took great pride in sharing his love for the team with everyone he met.
He is survived by his mother, Lila Duncan; children, Laura Zaugg, Michelle Duncan, Mellisa Duncan, David (Bobbijo) Duncan, and stepdaughter Sherrie (Darren) Blakesley; sister, Lori (Paul) Jorgensen; brother, Eldon Jr. (Gail) Duncan; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Duncan; his beloved wife, Ruthann Duncan; and his stepson, Scott Bohnenkamp.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all who have offered their love and support during this time.
