Ronald Parizek

Ronald Parizek, 82, of Waterloo, Iowa, formally of Dysart, passed away August 18th, 2025, at home.  Memorial service will be at a later date.  

Ronald Gene Parizek was born October 5th, 1942, to Walter and Zella (Hook) Parizek.  Ron excelled in his studies and sports at Dysart High School. He was awarded a chemistry scholarship to University of Iowa.  Ron served four years in the Army Security Agency in Japan and Turkey. Living in Dysart, Ron began farming while employed by Carol and Rich Krafta.  Ron composed many poems, short stories, and a novel as a hobby. Following retirement, Ron moved to Waterloo residing with his sister, Barb. He enjoyed tv westerns, especially Roy Rogers, baseball, basketball, and football games.  The company of Mark, his lap dog, was special.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sisters, Mrs. Marsha (Wayne) Woods of Janesville, WI, and Barb Parizek of Waterloo, IA; his nieces, Mrs. Anne (Donald) Douglas and Ms. Zawadi Parizek; and his nephews, David (Becky) Woods and Joshua (Hailey) Parizek.  

Memorials may be directed to Dysart Fire and EMS.
