Michael Aaron O’Brien
Michael Aaron O’Brien, 42 of North Liberty, passed away from natural causes Thursday August 21,2025, in his home. Michael was born June 17, 1983, in Iowa City. He grew up in Solon, and was a 2001 Solon High School graduate.
He is survived by his mother, Patty O’Brien of Solon, grandparents Jim and Phylis Boever of Davenport, Aunts, Uncles and cousins, special "Auntie" Deb Jansan of Lone Tree.
He is preceded in death by his father, Randy Boever, grandparents Richard O’Brien, Dana and Dorothy Larson and Uncle Glen Wilkinson of Marion. Also special “Aunties” Connie Beurskins, Sara Myrick, Sandy Heudepohl and Uncle Al Heudepohl.
Michael obtained a net plus certification from New Horizons, and received his licence for massage therapy from La James International College. Michael was employed at Flip Salon in North Liberty. Michael had 12 years work experience as a customer service representative at Nordstroms, Access Direct and Ruffalo Cody. He was employed at Panchero’s for the last 5 years where he made many co-worker friends.
Michael was in Boy Scouts until his senior year. He enjoyed school trips, family vacations to Minnesota, Florida and the Bahamas, and especially his work trip to Seattle, Wa. He loved going to the movies with his mom, playing video games, listening to music and was an avid reader.
Michael was kind, caring and treasured his family and many friends. He will be truly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
