Leslie D. (Lanam) Buscher from Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away on August 2, 2025 at 68 years young after a brief respiratory illness. She never wanted a funeral, but there will be a celebration of life at her home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in the near future.
She was born on August 31, 1956 in East Liverpool, Ohio to Frederick and Margaret (Campbell) Lanam. Leslie had many jobs through the years but found most fulfillment as a self-employed Puppy Trainer. She was a Domestic Violence Counselor, a Volunteer Therapy Dog Handler and trainer and a journalist. She loved photography, Dog Training and going camping with family and friends.
Leslie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Mike Buscher; children Cecilia Reyes and Briana (Reyes) Hernandez; her granddaughter Kalista Reyes, her grandsons Alex Reyes Corales, Marco Tostado and Lincoln Hernandez; siblings Kathy Lanam, Peggy Lanam, Denise (Lanam) Hatfield, Rick Lanam and Jack Lanam.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Brandon Reyes, and her grandson Jason Hernandez.
