Kenneth V. Frey

Kenneth V Frey, age 83 of Norwalk, Iowa passed away on April 29, 2025.  Ken was born September 9, 1941, in Keokuk, Iowa.  He was raised by Walter "Pete" and Marie Frey.  After graduating from Warsaw High School in 1959, Ken graduated from Iowa Wesleyan Collage in Mount Pleasant in 1963 where he received a degree in Education.  Ken was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.  He later went on to receive his Masters Degree from Drake University.

Ken began his teaching and coaching  career in Neola, Iowa where he lead the boys basketball team to state.  Ken and Jan later moved their family to Norwalk, Iowa  which they called home for many years.  He continued his teaching and coaching career at Des Moines Tech and ended his career as a school administrator at North High School.

Ken enjoyed his time on the golf course with his friends but especially is brother Jack. He was a diehard HAWKEYE fan and enjoyed  his trips to the casino. He loved spending time with his grandkids.

Ken will be missed by his wife Janet of 62 years, as well as his brother Dwayne "Jack" Frey (Debbie, his favorite), sisters Joyce McKay and Joann Scoville, children Robbin Link (John) of Norwalk, IA, Jeff (Dana) Frey of West Des Moines, IA, and Angie Frey (Mike) of Norwalk, IA and his seven grandchildren Merideth, Brad, Kennedi, Grant, Regan, John, Carter and 8 great grandchildren.

Per Ken's wish, there will be no services
